This paper addresses the external and internal conflicts that female characters go through in four Peruvian films and how they directly affect family ties. Likewise, the construction and development of the characters are influenced in response to the contexts they must face and the narrative conflicts that arise during the films. The analysis attempts to verify whether the conflicts and construction of the female characters in the films “Color de mujer” (De Izcue, 1990), “La vida es una sola” (Eyde, 1992), “Casadentro” (Lombardi, 2012) and “Canción sin nombre” (León, 2019), all of them directed by women, are similar.Downloads
