The pursuit of happiness: male and female characters in Peruvian comedies

Abstract

In human beings, the concept of happiness may be different, but desire to find it is present.Some people find it in a relationship. It happens with women characters in films “Solteracodiciada” (Lombardi & Ascenzo, 2018) and “No me digas solterona” (Alva, 2018). On theother hand, men share happiness with their friends, as is the case with male characters infilms “Como en el cine” (Ladines, 2015) and “Sí, mi amor” (Flores, 2020). Everything seemsto indicate that happiness is different for male and female characters in these comedies.
